A WOMAN who was one of two people to die after a crash on the A10 near Buntingford on Monday night has been named.
Keeley Thorpe, 29, from Biggleswade was driving a Fiat Punto which was in collision with a Volkswagen Polo just south of the junction with the A507.
The collision happened at 8.35pm.
Police believe that the Polo, driven by a man in his 70s who has yet to be named was travelling south on the A10 behind a lorry and crossed into the northbound carriageway colliding with Ms Thorpe's car.
Both patients were treated by paramedics on the roadside before being taken to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage where they both later died. The driver of the lorry was uninjured.
An inquest into the deaths is due to open today.
