A GRANT for the running of classes for the elderly at the Royston Day Centre was set to be rejected last night (Wednesday).
The day centre had submitted an application to cover the cost of £1,750 for art and handicraft classes after Herts County Council said it would not cover the expense.
Councillors on North Herts District Council's Royston area committee were told in a report that the day centre had a project development fund which stood at £20,783.
The report said the day centre could subsidise the course for at least a year.
