DANCERS from Royston have been invited to the British Film Institute to perform a dance from the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony.

The students from GSTARS in Royston will dance to a composition by Annie Lennox entitled Little Bird, at the institute’s 3D Creative Summit, which takes place at its London headquarters next Thursday, March 28.

The dance will be filmed in 3D as part of the summit, which is being attended by Sir David Attenborough.

GSTARS principal Georgina Wootten was one of the dancers at the Olympic closing ceremony, and has taught the routine to her students.

She said: “It will look fantastic on the students CVs and will be an amazingly educational experience for all involved not to mention that we will be filmed live in 3D.”
