A NEW dance studio which aims to give the “highest quality training available,” has opened up in Crow Country.

Situated at Flint Cross and named simply The Studio, the facility celebrated its opening day last weekend, and managed to raise money for charity in the process.

Dancers from Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk attended the first day, with owner and teacher Claire Thompson looking forward to achieving success.

“I have always aimed to offer the highest quality training to all my dancers,” she said.

“Having the studio will mean that I can offer them the best environment and facilities as well – it really does make a difference.”

The Studio will offer fitness classes during the day, with dance classes held after school, at evenings and weekends.

The fully equipped arena will cater for children as young as three, right up to aerobics classes for adults.

Manon Davies, 11, who has been training with Mrs Thompson for four years, said: “The facilities here are amazing. Now we can see what we are doing in the mirrors and it will be much easier for us to hold the right position when we are practising.”

The opening day offered cakes and canaps to visitors with a raffle and a balloon race raising 100.00 in aid of breast cancer research.
