Cyclist taken to hospital with serious injuries after crash with car in Meldreth

A cyclist was taken to hospital after a collision with a car yesterday evening.

Police and ambulance services were called just after 5.30pm to Fenny Lane in Meldreth after the crash which left the cyclist in his 30s with serious kneck and leg injuries.

He was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for further care. An eyewitness said: “I saw a cyclist who had been hit by a car, the windscreen was shattered and the cyclist was unconscious. An ambulance crew arrived.”

The road was not closed off.
