A ROYSTON shop has helped out a football club by making it a charity partner.

The Original Factory Shop in Orchard Road will raise £500 to Royston Town FC after choosing the team as its new charity partners for the year.

Following an appeal to the community to nominate local causes from national charity Make a Difference, colleagues at the store are to support The Crows for the next 12 months by organising fundraising events.

Store manager, Desmond Byrne, said: “We had a lot of local causes come forward this year. It wasn’t an easy decision but after considering each application carefully, we thought that we could really help to make a difference to Royston Town Football Club.”
