Homeowners in Litlington returned to their house yesterday to find the lock had been tampered with during an attempted burglary.
The owners left the house in Bassingbourn Road at about 8.30am and returned at about 2pm to find screwdriver marks on a side door.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
