Fire crews were called to attend a caravan and house fire last night (Sunday).
Two fire engines were called to Old North Road in Whaddon to attend a derelict caravan which was well alight on a site behind Bassingbourn Barracks. A fire had also started at a nearby unoccupied house which was extinguished using two jets and a hose reel.
Crews returned to their stations at 12.17am.
The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate. Anyone with information should contact the police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
