FIRE fighters from Royston battled a house fire on Saturday night.
Two crews from the town were called to the blaze, at a house in Jeffrey Close, at 8.33pm on Saturday, and found a fire well alight on the ground floor.
Using a hose reel, jet, and a high pressure fan to clear the smoke, the fire fighters brought the fire under control, and it was extinguished by 21.36.
No one was hurt, and it is thought the blaze was started accidentally.
