A sprinting Santa was on the loose in Royston at the weekend.

The novel idea was thought up by Christmas Craft Fair organiser and shop owner Laura Whitford.

“He ran up the high street, around the park, around Morrisons and had a quick jog around the craft fair so that the crafters could say hello too,” she said.

“The fair was busy and hopefully that was in part thanks to Santa!”

Dates for next year’s craft fairs at the Town Hall are March 18, October 14, November 11, and December 9. For more see www.number3royston.co.uk.

Laura has also been hard at work helping to create a town calendar, which came about thanks to the Royston Past Facebook group. There are just 20 remaining so pop into No.3 Royston in Melbourn Street to get yours for £10.
