STAFF at North Herts District Council are expected to take strike action next week.
They are members of local government trade union Unison, which has called the industrial action over a pay claim.
Strike action will be taken on Wednesday and Thursday.
The district council, which has 380 staff - of which 140 are Unison members - says it expects to maintain front-line services but expects delays over non-urgent business.
Cllr Terry Hone, the council's deputy leader, said: "We expect to be able to maintain services although some customers may be inconvenienced."
He added: "We believe that the employers' offer of 2.45 per cent is a reasonable one and we hope our staff will keep working.
