The County Council will be out in force this year at the Cambridgeshire County Show with a joint interactive and informative display

Visitors to the popular County Show on Sunday 3 June 2007 will be given the opportunity to learn about the access to the countryside via public rights of way, history and archaeology, Trading Standards, farming information and the green vision for the county.

Members of Cambridgeshire County Council's Countryside Access Team, Cambridgeshire Archaeology, the Green Infrastructure Strategy and Trading Standards will be on hand to answer questions and encourage people to learn more about their services and how they can benefit from them.

There will be something for all the family under the Council's marquee including, countryside walks leaflets and information, archaeological displays and activities, information for local farmers, free balloons for the children, and fresh strawberries, grown locally in Milton.

The Cambridgeshire County Show, is an annual show of the agricultural and rural community organised by the Young Farmers and will take place at Wimpole Home Farm, near Royston on Sunday 3 June 2007 10 - 5pm.

Kate Day, Countryside Access Team Leader for Cambridgeshire County Council, said: "We have been supporting the County Show for the last four years and it is a great event and a wonderful opportunity for us to meet people and discuss what we do and how they can take advantage of the services we provide. We are pleased this year that the Council's display has grown in size and other teams are joining us with displays and we can offer the public more to see and do.
