SOUTH Cambridgeshire District Council has received a national award for staff well-being from a leading local government publication.
The council won the employee Well-being Achievement of the Year in the Municipal Journal local government achievement awards.
Chief executive Greg Harlock said he was "delighted" with the award.
"It's outside recognition that the district council is a good employer and a testament to our staff-oriented approach to well-being," he said.
The council's well-being programme is divided into three activity areas: health, support and social.
Activities include exercise classes, support for staff trying to give up smoking, staff-run charity fund-raising and a childcare voucher scheme for working parents.
