ROYSTON-based Johnson Matthey has become the Company of the Year in awards presented by the Chemical Industries Association.
The award recognises a member company that has demonstrated growth in its business and a sustained contribution to the UK economy.
Johnson Matthey, which has a plant in Orchard Road, Royston, was selected for its leading global and UK position and its record of sustained growth.
Steve Elliott, chief executive of the association, said he was "delighted" that Johnson Matthey had been given the award.
"Its credentials are outstanding and it is held in exceptionally high regard as an employer and investment opportunity," he said.
