Committed collectors took to the town centre last weekend to drum up funds for Marie Curie.
The group came out in Royston armed with buckets as part of the Great Daffodil Appeal, and managed to boost the cancer care charity by raising more than £1,700 in Tesco and £838 in the town centre.
Marie Curie community fundraiser Christine Brown said: “Our collectors got the appeal off to a fantastic start, but we need more people to help for an hour or two with future collections.”
Future collections are taking place at Royston Wyevale Garden Centre and Melbourn Co-operative Food in the coming weeks.
