CLASSIC cars from all over the East of England descended on a village for its annual motor show, despite the event being officially cancelled.
A meet where classic car owners can show off their vehicles is held in Barrington every January. But organisers decided to postpone this years meet due to the water-logged state of the village green, where the cars gather, and sent an email round to that effect.
However, this did not stop an array of vehicles turning up in Barrington from places as far afield as Bury St Edmunds and Peterborough. Many villagers and enthusiasts from the area came out to view cars such as a 1964 Jaguar D Type and a rare 1935 Triumph Gloria Vitesse.
