Cinema work begins

THE first steps for the building of the Royston Community Cinema took shape last week as work began on lifts and toilets for the disabled.

Royston town clerk Susan Thornton-Bjork said: “It’s brilliant to see it finally taking place, and tremendously exciting.

“The works have started now and hopefully the toilets and lift will be finished before the end of April.”

The 200,000 project, funded by Royston Town Council and Royston First, is scheduled to be finished late this year.
