THE first steps for the building of the Royston Community Cinema took shape last week as work began on lifts and toilets for the disabled.
Royston town clerk Susan Thornton-Bjork said: “It’s brilliant to see it finally taking place, and tremendously exciting.
“The works have started now and hopefully the toilets and lift will be finished before the end of April.”
The �200,000 project, funded by Royston Town Council and Royston First, is scheduled to be finished late this year.
