PEOPLE may soon be able to go to the movies in Buntingford.
The town centre management team is keen to have an occasional cinema as part of the town initiative, which aims to improve the social, economic and environmental development of the area.
Town centre manager Mark Dell said: "We want to save people from having to travel to nearby towns such as Bishop's Stortford and Stevenage."
Mr Dell said if the idea was received well by the community, the team would look at Benson Hall, Freman College, or the Seth Ward Community Centre as possible locations.
Saffron Walden has adopted the same initiative and set up a cinema at Saffron Walden County High School at a cost of £160,000.
"There is a question of demand so if anyone thinks it is a good idea and has any ideas with regards to the venue or fundin,g contact me," said Mr Dell.
