MEMBERS of the Royston Methodist Church are hoping to be part of breaking a world record - and it will only cost 2 pence.

The church is running a Tuppenny Rush coffee morning on Saturday, July 12.

Money raised in 2 pence pieces will be donated to the National Children's Homes.

To break the world record, however, the money has to be collected during a two-hour period between 10am-12 noon.

Organiser Jennie Harris said: "Any 2 pence pieces given after noon will not count towards the world record."

Donations in 2 pence pieces can be made to the church before the event.
