Children go on teddy bear hunt in Royston town centre

Children in Royston have been getting stuck in looking for teddy bears in town centre shop windows.
The event was organised by Royston & Buntingford Children’s Centre to encourage youngsters to get active.
After choosing the book We’re Going on a Bear Hunt as a theme for their summer holiday sessions, the group
planned their own bear hunt in Royston High Street for families to enjoy.
The families had to collect an entry form from the children’s centre in Burns Road, then walk down the high street and find 15 bears placed in shop windows.
They had to write down the bears’ names on the form, and all correct entries were entered into a draw. The first 15 to be picked out won the bears.
One parent said: “Ellie kept seeing the bears in the windows over the summer and asking when she would know when she won.
“When I told her she had won Honey, she was over the moon.”
