A CHILD and a woman had to be treated by paramedics, after a fire broke out at a house.
Fire crews were called to a mid-terrace house in Green Drift, Royston, yesterday (Wednesday), after receiving reports that a house was on fire.
The call came in just after 5.30pm, with the blaze out about an hour later.
Ambulance crews also attended, and administered first aid on the child and woman, who suffered from smoke inhalation. But they did not sustain any serious injury.
The cause of the fire is not known, but it has been recorded as accidental.
