MORE than £5,000 has been handed over to the Royston Town Centre Forum.

The money was raised from a recent auction.

And town centre manager Geraint Burnell said the cash would be used to the "maximum benefit" of the town centre.

He said the forum had "a number of ideas" for new initiatives along with the 27 events already planned.

Mr Burnell described the auction as a "good example of what the town can achieve collectively".
