CHARGES against a father and daughter whose Rottweiler dogs attacked a postman have been dropped.
Rob Stewart, 44, and his daughter Emma Stewart, 22, had faced legal action after their dogs savaged Keith Davies, 54, at the Stewarts home in Gazeley Lane, Cambridge, in December 2008.
But at a hearing held at Cambridge Crown Court yesterday, Judge Gareth Hawksworth threw out the charges.
The case had been brought under the Dangerous Dogs Act, which is concerned with public places. As the dogs attacked Mr Davies on a private cul-de-sac, the Judge did not allow the prosecution to proceed.

Mr Stewart, managing director of Stevenage Packaging and former chairman of Royston Town football club, had the dogs put down following the incident.
