CHARACTERS from children's literature came to life at Edwinstree Middle School in Buntingford. To celebrate World Book Day, pupils were invited to come to school dressed as characters from their favourite books.
Children dressed up as literary icons such as Dennis the Menace and the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. The festivities were organised by leader of English, Jane Liddle.
World Book Day is held in more than 100 countries.
