RESIDENTS will be given the opportunity to tell North Herts District Council exactly what they think of its services.

The move is part of a wide-ranging consultation exercise that is being carried out by the district council to measure people's satisfaction with the authority.

The exercise will be taking place this month and in July, with more than 1,000 residents being visited by consultants Bostock Marketing Group.

Interviews will be selected at random and will last about 25 minutes.

Leader of the council, Cllr F John Smith, said: "We do this survey every other year because it is crucial that the district council knows in detail what residents think of the services it provides.

"The results will have a direct impact on the way we spend our money, and on the priorities we draw up for the coming years.
