A FORMER resident of Crow Country took up her position in the European Parliament last week.
Catherine Bearder was selected as one of the South East's representatives in the European Parliament at the European elections held last month. She met her fellow MEP's in Brussels last week to mark the start of the 2009 - 2014 parliamentary term.
Hailing from Buckland, Mrs Bearder is a former pupil at Reed School and member of the Royston young farmers club.
She still has family in Royston, including her sister Angela Louch, who is chairman of the Royston in Bloom committee.
