Members of the Royston Chamber of Commerce were delighted to present Home-Start Royston & South Cambridgeshire with a cheque for more than £1,400.
The money – presented on Thursday last week – was raised from this year’s Royston Business Awards charity raffle, which included prizes from Banyers Hotel, No.3, The Old Bull Inn and the Jolly Postie.
Home-Start manager Sarah Mascall said: “We are so grateful for this support. Our links with businesses is crucial in enabling us to continue our support and we are lucky to be part of such a generous community here in Royston. The money will enable us to support a family with home visiting for the best part of a year, a really fantastic result. A big thank you to everyone involved and we look forward to continuing to work together in the future.”
Chamber of Commerce chair Julia Brooks said: “I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated and who made the event possible.”
