Car smashed up in Orwell crash with lorry but elderly driver escapes without injury

A man in his 80s driving a black Mitsubishi Mirage was unhurt following a crash with a lorry in Orwell this afternoon.

The police and ambulance service was called to the scene at the junction of the A603 and Fisher’s Lane just before 1pm.

The man was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge for further care as a precaution.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
