A Cambridgeshire man will face trial accused of shooting dead a 46-year-old.
Ian Catley, 40, appeared in Southwark Crown Court on Friday, and denied two charges or murder and manslaughter in relation to the death of Philip Harper.
Mr Harper, of High Street, Meldreth, died on June 29 this year. He was taken to Melbourn Ambulance Station with life-threatening injuries at about 5.50pm. Despite receiving medical attention, he died a short time later
A post mortem held at Peterborough City Hospital he died from a gunshot wound. It is thought he was shot in a field to the south of Melbourn.
Catley, of Medcalfe Way, Melbourn, was remanded in custody. His trial is set to being on November 24 at Southwark Crown Court.
