Two bowls clubs are among organisations benefiting from £19,000 of council funding.
Meldreth Bowls Club and Steeple Morden Bowls club have been awarded grants from the South Cambridgeshire District Council community chest fund.
Meldreth will use their £1,038 to fund repairs to their pavilion, while at Steeple Morden a £600 investment will be made in new heaters.
The community chest fund supports projects that improve the local environment and help build a stronger sense of community.
Cllr Ray Manning, Leader of South Cambridgeshire District Council, said: “We appreciate that funding is becoming increasingly tough for the voluntary sector and hope these grants will help them get their projects under way.
“I would encourage other community groups in the district who need financial support to get in touch with us and see if we can help.”
Harston Parish Council was also given a grant for £1,000 to tidy the war memorial in Station Road.
