A TEENAGER has raised more than 2,000 for a hospital that cared for his baby sister.

This week Callum Jeray, 15, presented staff at the Rosie Maternity Hospital in Cambridge with a cheque for 2,505.

As reported in the Crow last month, Callum, of Beeton Close, Melbourn, held a coffee morning in aid of the hospital after they cared for his sister, Cassie White, when she was born prematurely in April.

Callum said: “The hospital staff were brilliant and I just want to be able to give something back to them after they gave so much to us by helping Cassie through. She wouldn’t be here without them.”

His appeal was boosted by a 1,000 donation from Barmans in Melbourn. Staff at the catering suppliers firm agreed to work for free for two hours, with their wages donated to the Rosie.
