Burglars use crowbar to force open door before stealing handbag in Guilden Morden

Police believe burglars used a crowbar to break into a house in Guilden Morden on Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred between 3am and 5am in Bells Meadow, and the crooks forced open the front door before stealing a cream leather handbag, along with its contents.

In a separate incident, offenders were unsuccessful when they attempted to prise open the front and back doors of a home in Fowlmere.

The attempted burglary occurred in Savile Way, between 11.30pm on Monday and 6.30am the following morning.

Anyone with information about either of the incidents is asked to call police on 101.
