A BREWER has not been caught on the hop by the poor weather and has christened a beer honouring Britain’s dismal summer.
Buntingford Brewery, based in Royston, has unveiled the Rain Star which will replace their current summer ale that has not reflected the wash out.
Steve Banfield, brewer, said: “We have got a special for the summer and the one we have got this year is called Sun Star, it has been very popular but there hasn’t been much sun.
“We were talking about having done a summer beer with no sun and we noticed the weather.
“We decided to do a Rain Star and then, ironically, we get the news the jet stream will move.”
