Boy, 13, faces arson charge after Melbourn blaze

A 13-YEAR-OLD boy has been charged with arson following a fire on Saturday.

Two fire crews from Cambridge and Royston were called to Olloway Farm in Melbourn, where a field containing three acres of stubble and 60 tonnes of baled crops was on fire.

Fire-fighters spent about two hours using beaters to bring the flames under control.

The teenager will appear before Cambridge Youth Court on August 13.

A 12-year-old boy was also arrested but was released without charge.
