Under-13s Division 3
AN injury-hit Bassingbourn were hit for 10 by an in-form Markhall side in this fixture.
Markhall started well and were two up inside five minutes and although Bassingbourn, led by Sean Faillettaz, were busy they lacked any goal threat and it was no surprise when the away side scored two more goals just before half time to go in four goals up.
The second half started as the first with two more early Markhall goals and the visitors hit two more midway through the half to make it eight.
With about 10 minutes remaining Bassingbourn won a penalty after a handball and despite the 'keeper saving Chris O Connor's penalty Jono Roope followed up to score.
