Under-13s Division Three
BASSINGBOURN Youth finished victorious after a terrific encounter against Melbourn Dynamos at the weekend.
Melbourn took the lead against the run of play on 13 minutes but Bassingbourn levelled through Matthew Lovejoy within 120 seconds and took the lead when a shot from Tom Moody came back off the post and took the lead when Lovejoy netted his second on 25 minutes.
Despite this setback Melbourn continued to push and got an equaliser before the break.
Within 10 minutes of the second half Bassingbourn had taken a two goal lead with finishes from Sean Faillettaz and Jono Roope and when Moody made it 5-2 the game seemed over.
Back came Melbourn with another goal to cut the arrears to just two, but within three minuets of this strike Faillettaz got his second and Bassingbourn's sixth of this rollercoaster tie and Melbourn finished the match with a goal in the last minute to make the final score 6-4 to Bassingbourn.
