A bike worth nearly £1,000 has been stolen from a Royston shed.

The Boardman Hybrid Pro racing bike was taken at some time between 10pm on June 6 and mid-day on June 8. The thieves forced open a secure shed on the drive of a house in Mounteagle, Royston, and made off with the bike.

PC Chris Brown is investigating and said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious to contact me. I would be particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen someone riding away on this bike, anyone who may have seen it being placed into a vehicle or anyone who has been offered it for sale.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Brown via the Herts Police non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number G4/14/362. Alternatively call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
