More than £2,000 was raised for England and Wales Blind Golf when a Bassingbourn man hosted a charity golf day in Cambridge.

A total of 70 golfers took part in the event at Cambridge Meridian Golf Club, who competed in a four ball better ball competition.

Nick Burr, a tax analyst who was behind the event, said: “We also held a blindfolded Nearest the Pin, so the competitors could experience what I do playing golf.”

Nick previously hosted a Dans Le Noir dining in the dark fundraising event, to raise money for Cambridge Dons Goalball Club.
