A village blacksmith has brought the community together to organise a Christmas market in Chrishall on Sunday.

Lucas Ling – who also creates metal artwork – organised the event in the village hall, which has undergone extensive renovation work since 2015.

The hall will be bursting at the seams with stalls galore selling toys, decorations, chocolates, cakes, Norfolk fresh Christmas trees, needlework and of course mince pies with a glass of mulled wine.

There will be jewellery, leather-work and wood-work made by local artisans and Lucas will be taking orders for and selling his beautifully crafted pieces of metalwork.

“I hope that as many villagers as possible, and those from the surrounding area, will come along to celebrate the first full and successful year of the splendidly refurbished Chrishall Village Hall,” said Lucas.

The market will start at 3pm and finish at 6pm, Father Christmas has promised to be there to ‘hand out free gifts to all good Chrishall children’.
