THE cathedral came to Barrington on Sunday (November 26) when Julie Norris was ordained as a priest.
Ordinations are usually held at Ely Cathedral - but on this occasion the Bishop of Huntingdon, the Rt Rev John Inge, travelled to Barrington with other clergy from the cathedral and diocese.
The church was packed with people from Barrington, Orwell, Wimpole, Arrington and Croydon.
Children from the Let's Worship service, which is held monthly at Orwell, made a banner coloured red for the festival of Christ the King.
The Rev Norris has lived in Barrington for six years and became curate in July.
She will be working with the Rev Neil Brice, rector of Orwell, in the five villages which make up the Orwell Benefice.
