A SOCIETY has installed a bench in Litlington in memory of a resident who dedicated more than 30 years of his life to the village.

The Geoff Bright Appreciation Society raised funds to install the bench on Saturday.

During his time in the village, Geoff was elected as a parish councillor, helped organise village events, and helped run the youth football team and youth club.

When Geoff died in 2004, his friends continued to raise funds and donate money to causes in the village that he would have supported.

The society has raised £4,000 in the last two years.

Geoff's son Glenn said: "It feels good that my dad has not been forgotten for what he did in the village.
