A TASTE of Brazil has had pupils at a Buntingford school swapping maths and science for something a little more exotic.
Year 7 pupils at Edwinstree School took part in a Samba Workshop as part of their music topic, Brazilian Samba.
Inspire Works led the workshop, in which pupils got to experience authentic Samba music on genuine Brazilian instruments.
Amanda Mitchell, leader of music at the school, said: "The children loved it and the Samba music was a bit different from normal lessons.
"It was a great success and we are hoping to do more of the same in the future."
Pupils learned the roles of different instruments, and played a variety of patterns, breaks, and rhythmic responses.
