Bassingbourn dancers get funky and festive

Students at Bassingbourn dance school DanceMatters celebrated Christmas by doing what they do best.
Dancers performed a range of ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary dances, and some of the pupils performed their own choreography, too.
Family and friends were invited to attend the tea party and raising funds for the British Liver Trust, a table groaned beneath the weight of the raffle prizes, and more than £100 was raised.
Dance teacher Naomi Wallen said: “It was a genuinely lovely afternoon. I was delighted that there were so many lovely dances, including some performances that the dancers had worked on independently.
“It was great to have the opportunity to personally thank all the dancers and their families for all their support during 2015.”
At the event Sarah Barker, whose anxious wait for a liver transplant was reported in last week’s Crow, spoke about the need for more people to sign up to the NHS organ donor register.
