Children at Barley and Barkway first schools now have a new football kit thanks to a Premier League-inspired national scheme

The Premier League Primary Stars initiative uses the appeal of the top flight in English football and professional clubs to inspire children to learn, be active and develop important life skills.

It’s available to every primary school in England and Wales and works to inspire girls and boys aged five to 11 in the classroom, the playground and on the sports field.

The pupils received their new kit and immediately the key stage 2 class tried it out.

A spokeswoman for the collaboration of Barley and Barkway first schools said: “The children looked fantastic and they were very excited to be wearing the kit sponsored by the Premier League.

“Once the kit was donned the children couldn’t wait to try out their football skills and had a full session with PE teacher Mr Green, showing a full range of football skills that they hopefully will use in subsequent matches against other schools.

“It was a great response from the children and a roaring success for all concerned.”
