The village of Barkway’s only pub has had a refurbishment, complete with a blessing from a Church of England priest.
A new sign was unveiled at London Road’s Tally Ho pub last week, but not before the tavern was blessed as a place of work and hospitality in a short ceremony.
Rev Sonia Falaschi-Ray, who lives in Barkway, said: “In my blessing I tried to show how the pub is an integral part not only of the village, but of people’s wellbeing – mind, body and spirit.”
Pub owner Saleesha Hall said: “Our vision is to provide a country pub for people to enjoy good quality, locally sourced food in the company of their friends and family.”
