Police are investigating a burglary at HSBC bank in Melbourn Street in Royston which occurred at around 1.15am this morning (Tuesday, September 21).
It is believed the offenders drove a vehicle, into the glass at the front of the building and once inside, attempted to gain access to a cash machine, but were unsuccessful.
Hertfordshire’s helicopter, with the support of the Cambridgeshire helicopter, assisted in searching for the offenders this morning. No arrests have been made at this stage.
Officers are currently at the scene investigating.
