THE body of a Foxton woman whose daughter plunged more than 30ft from a hotel room balcony in Majorca has been found.

Sara Cooper, 45, was discovered by divers yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) in an underwater cave.

Her fully-clothed body was recovered from the cave, which is beneath a cliff at Calas Domingos beach, just a few minutes walk from the hotel the family were staying at.

Seven-year-old Gianna Cooper, who attends Foxton Primary School, fell from the fifth floor of the three-star Hotel Samoa in the resort of Calas de Mallorca.

She suffered a ruptured liver, broken jaw and head injuries, and is currently in a serious but stable condition at a hospital in the island's capital, Palma.

Her father Martin and two older brothers are by her bedside.

Sara and Martin, also known as Ian, are believed to have worked in the pharmaceutical industry in Hertfordshire, although Sara has been a registered childminder in Cambs for the past two years.
