TOWN crier Graham Pfaff has been given an authentic look.

A pair of glasses more in keeping with his appearance as Royston town crier were given to him by opticians Howes, of High Street, Royston.

Graham said he has always been concerned that his usual modern-day pair of glasses did not look quite right for his role.

Now he will have a more authentic appearance.

"I was overcome by Howes's generosity for ensuring that I emulate my illustrious predecessors more accurately," he said.
