POLICE are appealing for help tracing three men who knocked a man unconscious in an apparently unprovoked attack in Royston
The 18-year old victim suffered serious injuries in the attack, which took place on November 8 in Old North Road, Royston, between 2am - 3am.
He was walking near the pelican crossing when the three men approached an knocked him unconscious. He subsequently required hospital treatment.
The offenders are described as being three white men in their 20's, who were described as wearing jeans and t-shirts or short sleeved shirts.
Det Con Beverley Jennings, investigating, said: "This was a serious assault which took place in the early hours of Remembrance Day and meant that the victim was unable to attend a memorial service which was taking place that day.
"Assaults such as these are not common place in Royston, where there are low levels of crime. We are very keen to determine who these offenders are and I would ask anyone with information to call me on 01438 757032," she said.
