ROYSTON Rotary Club's High Street shop was crammed with children on its final day.

The youngsters were presented with prizes and certificates for their entries to the "End Polio Now" painting competition, which was judged by local artists Liz Beardwell and Nicola Hancox. The paintings were all around a Polio theme to highlight the club's fight against the disease.

Mrs Beardwell said: "We were delighted at the high standard of drawing and design and, more particularly, their understanding of polio and its effects."

The shop closed on Saturday after what a rotary spokesman described as "three highly successful weeks.
